In partnership with Skydio, a top U.S. drone manufacturer and a world pioneer in autonomous flying technology, EagleView, a leading provider of geospatial insights for insurance, today made EagleView AssessTM a virtual claims assessment solution generally available.
When used in conjunction with Skydio House ScanTM, Skydio’s adaptive scanning and data capture software for an autonomous residential roof inspection, AssessTM provides insurance claims adjusters with the information they need to make faster and more confident decisions about claims.
An average of six aspects per property was reviewed by adjusters during beta testing, speeding up evaluations and resolving up to 1.5 times as many claims per day. Loss adjustment expenses (LAE) were also lowered by insurers, which could save up to 20% on each claim on adjuster time and travel expenses.
EagleView AssessTM uses a worldwide network of licensed drone pilots to conduct property inspections, or carriers can rent AssessTM hardware and software to give a comprehensive drone inspection process to their field teams. Customers will be able to use self-service extensively by the end of 2021. Skydio is the world’s top autonomous flying drone maker.
